Tucked away in the heart of Purcellville, the Chapman DeMary Trail is a vital 10-acre community asset and the last remaining remnant of old-growth forest within town limits. Running alongside the scenic South Fork Catoctin Creek—part of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed—this hidden gem connects residents directly to Northern Virginia’s rich environmental heritage.
Though privately owned, the trail is permanently protected under a conservation easement held by the Town of Purcellville. It serves as both a tranquil escape and an outdoor classroom, sharing its landscape with nearby Loudoun Valley High School.
