Ater’s Apiary 🐝
Just outside of Lovettsville is one of Western Loudoun’s local honey apiaries. It’s a simple, self-service stand, and it’s a great example of the small businesses that make our community what it is.
Right now, it’s peak season for the hives. With the summer warmth fully here (yes, photo needs updating!), the fields around northern Loudoun are buzzing, and the bees are in overdrive, bringing in the freshest summer nectar. The stand is completely packed and beautifully stocked with plenty of fresh local goods. One thing we really appreciated is that they’re still offering a discount for returning your empty jars, which is a nice touch for keeping things sustainable.
If you’re out that way enjoying the warm weather, it’s worth a quick stop to support a local grower and grab some fresh honey!
